Social Shapla #3 Exhibition
SOCIAL SHAPLA #3
EXHIBITION BY SOCIAL SHAPLA ARTISTS
CO-CURATED BY LI WILLIAMS, ANTONIA ATTWOOD & CENGIZHAN SEN
SEPTEMBER - JANUARY 2025
Coinciding with the annual Social Shapla Garden Gathering at the Kentish Town Health Centre, is the Social Shapla exhibition ‘Social Shapla #3’
Each year, the Social Shapla artists prepare diligently for their annual exhibition, demonstrating their artistry, friendship and focus in using creativity as personal expression.
With each exhibition and workshop session, the group grows in confidence, learning new techniques, improving existing skills, and enjoying time together. Social Shapla has become an indispensable aid to the artists' wellbeing and sense of community.
A big thank you to Social Shapla's project manager Li and outreach worker Dee for their work and commitment to supporting the Social Shapla artists.
About Social Shapla
Social Shapla is a creative project for Bangladeshi women in the Kentish Town/Queens Crescent area - art, cake and chat, in a safe, comfortable environment with friendly experienced facilitators.
The project hopes to provide space for women to get together, take some time for themselves and experience a series of creative projects.
